August updates: New platform navigation & flexible business payments

This month brings changes to payments, how your travelers book, and the emails you send them. One is worth reading before it reaches you: WeTravel is getting a new look with updated navigation.

Collect payments from your business partners, in full or in installments

Agencies, schools, and suppliers rarely pay all at once. A deposit now, the balance closer to departure. You can collect both in a single Business payment request.

Here is how it works:

  • Create the request. Add the title, amount, due date, and currency, and attach an invoice if you need one.

  • Add a deposit and a payment plan. The deposit is due at checkout, followed by up to 24 payments with the dates and amounts you set.

  • Send the link to your partner. We remind them 7 days before, 3 days before, and on each due date, and again if a payment is late.

  • See where every request stands. Each request shows what is paid and what is still to come, and moves from open to in progress to paid on its own.

  • Receive the funds in your WeTravel Wallet. Wire transfer costs a flat 25 USD or EUR per transaction, with no booking fee.

  • Record what your partner pays outside WeTravel. Cash, check or anything else, with an optional note on their receipt.

Your travelers can now book in 6 new languages

When a traveler lands on your trip page, we detect their language by IP and show the trip page, checkout, Manage Booking portal, and booking emails in that language. If needed, travelers can also switch languages on the trip page or booking modal with the language picker.

  • French

  • Spanish

  • Italian

  • Dutch

  • German

  • Portuguese

WeTravel translates standard page elements and buttons, not the content you write. Add your trip and itinerary content in the language you are targeting for a fully localized experience. In the Itinerary builder and Advanced editor of trip pages, you can use AI to translate text blocks. Learn how to translate your text with AI.

You can find more details in the Help Center.

Save your emails as templates

Proposal terms. Packing list. Pre-departure details. The same emails, every single trip. Write each one once, and everyone on your team can send it in one click.

Here is how it works:

  • Create a template. Open the CRM tab, navigate to Email templates, and click on Create a Template to open an editor.

  • Personalize it with Dynamic fields. Insert your recipient's first name, last name, full name, or email, and set a default value so nothing sends blank.

  • Use it in the CRM. Insert a template into any email you write to a contact or an opportunity.

  • Use it in your trip messages. Insert the same template in the Messages tab of any trip, including group sends, where every participant sees their own name.

  • Share it with your team. Every template is available to everyone on your team, so your travelers always get consistent approved messages.

Your templates live in the AI-powered CRM, which helps you to keep communication and trips in one place and close sales faster. To get started with CRM, connect your Gmail or Outlook.

Your WeTravel account gets a new navigation on August 17

WeTravel is getting a fresh visual look that better reflects our product innovations.

The navigation moves from the top bar to a sidebar on the left. Nothing else changes: every feature works the way it does today, and your travelers see the same trip pages as before.

Know exactly how much tax you collected

The upcoming Tax line lets you charge tax, such as sales tax (%), GST (%), VAT (%), or city tax (flat fee per night), with the booking, and see every amount you collect in one report, instead of building it into your trip price. Set up your tax options once, and apply them to the trips where they belong. More details are coming later this month.

Your buyers get to choose auto-billing

Let buyers choose to have their remaining installments charged automatically, without turning auto-billing on for the whole trip.

Let us know if you have questions about any of the new features or upcoming updates.
