For security and regulatory reasons, WeTravel needs to verify the identity of all users that accept and transfer funds through WeTravel, and verify if they are eligible to transact payments through WeTravel. 

For this reason, we need the following documents to enable payouts for any new users. Please upload the information and documents on our verification page and complete your profile page. Note: Any documents received via email will be rejected.

If you're an individual

  • Make sure the name on your WeTravel account is the same as your name (i.e. not an alias)

  • Link your social media accounts to your WeTravel profile for verification (https://www.wetravel.com/user/verification)

  • Please submit your government issued photo-ID or passport.

  • Proof of address (For example a copy of a utility bill, a phone bill, a bank statement, a government department or local authority letter, a dental or medical bill). Please ensure this is not older than 90 days.

If you're verifying a company account

  • Please provide your company websites, social media accounts, and public reviews if any (e.g. on TripAdvisor)

  • Please provide a Certificate of Good Standing for your business. A Certificate of Status and Certificate of Legal Existence are also acceptable.

  • Please submit a government issued photo-ID or passport from a company representative or the owner.

  • Please provide your Business Registration number under the Trust & Verification section on your account. 

  • Proof of address (For example a copy of a utility bill, a phone bill, a bank statement, a government department or local authority letter, a dental or medical bill). Please ensure this is not older than 90 days.


Note: WeTravel reserves the right to ask for additional verification documents or information if the identity of an individual or company needs to be further validated. You may also receive and be asked to fill out a questionnaire as a part of your account verification. WeTravel reserves the right to refuse payment services to any user at any time at its sole discretion.

WeTravel has three different approval decisions: 

  • Full approval

  • Partial approval after future delivery risk adjustment period (more info here)

  • Denial of service

Please note that the most common decision for new users is partial approval. This is completely in line with the approval processes of most other payment platforms.

IMPORTANT: Use of WeTravel's services for any dealings, engagement, or sale of services linked directly or indirectly with jurisdictions WeTravel has deemed high risk, such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, and Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk Regions is prohibited. Organizers that are from or run any trips in those countries will be denied service with WeTravel.
