How to add a Custom Discount to your customer’s booking?

Custom discounts give you the flexibility to adjust the price of a specific booking - whether it was created through a trip or a payment link - when standard discount codes don’t apply. They’re especially useful for offering a one-off discount to an individual participant, handling pricing adjustments, or making goodwill gestures, even after departure or once the trip has ended.

To get started, go to your trip dashboard and select "Add Custom Discount" from the drop-down menu close to the booking:



You can now enter the discount name and amount. The discount can be applied up to the total trip price, ensuring flexibility while keeping the booking amount accurate.


Note: Custom Discounts are separate from your trip-level and global discount codes. If you apply a custom discount to a participant, make sure to adjust any existing trip or global discount code availability accordingly.


You can then assign the custom discount to a specific participant or to the entire booking. By default, the first participant is preselected, but you can adjust this as needed.



In the final step, you can review all changes, including how the custom discount affects the booking total. You’ll also choose how the discount is applied to the payment plan - whether it’s deducted from the next installment, deducted from the final installment, or spread across the remaining payments.



You can choose to send a booking confirmation along with an optional message in the notification email.

Once completed, you can review the updated payment plan and make any further adjustments as needed.



Custom discounts that have been applied will be visible to your customers in the "Add-ons" section of the Booking Summary on their booking dashboards:

Yes, both you and your participants can view custom discount details in the activity log for full transparency.



Can I add multiple custom discounts to a booking?

Yes, you can add multiple custom discounts by creating them one at a time.

Do my team members have access to custom discounts?

Yes, any team member with access to the trip can view and manage custom discounts.

Will the buyer receipt display custom discounts?

Yes, the downloadable buyer receipt will reflect any custom discount adjustments.


Can I cancel a custom discount?

Yes, you can cancel a custom discount at any time. Once cancelled, the discounted amount will be added back to the booking total.

Can I reassign a custom discount to another participant?
