How do I apply for a WeTravel Card?
You can apply for a WeTravel Card by navigating to the Payments section in your account and selecting the WeTravel Cards tab. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your application.
After clicking the "Apply for WeTravel Card" button, you'll be redirected to Stripe, our card-issuing partner.
Please select the type of business. Choosing the correct option ensures a smooth setup and accurate information entry.
Please keep in mind that while filling in your details, you will be asked to provide your SSN (Social Security Number) or EIN (Employer Identification Number) depending on your account type. If you do not have this information available, you will not be eligible for the card.
Once you've submitted all the details and agreed to the Terms of Service, you'll see a confirmation screen indicating that your approval is in progress. This typically takes 3-10 business days. We'll notify you as soon as it's confirmed.
If you see the notification "Action required for card approval", additional information is needed for verification. Please visit your application to complete the required steps. Keep in mind that the application expires in 30 days—if no action is taken to complete the process, a new card application will be required.
How do I create a card?
Once the approval is received, you can proceed to create your WeTravel Card!
You'll need to provide the cardholder's name (as it should appear on the card), email address, phone number, and billing address.
After entering your information, click "Create Card" to finalize the process. You can create a maximum of 10 cards on your WeTravel account.
Adding money to your WeTravel card balance
You can add funds in USD, maintaining a single balance for all your WeTravel Cards. You also have the flexibility to set individual spending limits on each card, helping you manage expenses and enhance financial security.
There is a daily spending limit of $10,000, which applies across all cards linked to your WeTravel card balance. You can set individual spending limits for each card by clicking the "Spend Limit" button in your card settings, where you can also view your current limits. If you want to inquire about the limits, please contact our team at info@wetravel.com.
After clicking "Add Money," you can transfer funds from your USD balance to your card balance. You also have the option to add a reference, which will appear in your reporting.
Click "Continue" to confirm the transfer, and you are all set!
IMPORTANT: Once you transfer funds to your card balance, they cannot be reverted back to your USD balance. However, you can retrieve them by making a payout to your linked US bank account.
Withdraw your WeTravel card balance
If you need to transfer money from your WeTravel card, you can withdraw your balance to your linked US bank account. Simply navigate to the section as shown below, where you'll be guided through the process. If you haven’t linked a bank account yet, you’ll have the option to add one.
Please note that withdrawals typically take 2–3 business days to reflect in your bank account.
