How to Embed Your WeTravel Trip in Your Weebly Website

Updated yesterday

You can embed WeTravel widgets, such as the Book Now button, Pricing Packages, Trip Overview, Inquiry Form, or any other available widget, directly into your Weebly website. This allows visitors to explore your trips and complete their bookings without leaving your site.

Weebly supports Custom HTML embeds, which makes it compatible with all WeTravel widgets that provide embed code.

💡 Important: The embedded checkout pop-up requires JavaScript to function correctly. It works on Weebly plans that allow Custom HTML elements. If you cannot add Custom HTML, you may need to upgrade your Weebly plan.

The steps in this guide apply to all WeTravel widgets. Wherever you see “embed code,” you can use the code for any widget type.

Before You Begin

Get Your WeTravel Embed Code

  1. Log in to your WeTravel account.

  2. Open the trip you want to embed.

  3. Go to Promote → Embed.

  4. Select the widget you want (Book Now, Pricing Packages, Trip Overview, Inquiry Form, etc.).

  5. Click Copy Code.

You will paste this code into your Weebly page using one of the options below.

Add the Embed Code to Your Weebly Website

Weebly uses a drag-and-drop editor. You will embed WeTravel widgets using the Custom HTML element.

This is the recommended method for embedding WeTravel widgets in Weebly.

Option 1: Embed Using the Weebly Custom HTML Element

  1. Log in to your Weebly account.

  2. Open your website and click Edit Site.

  3. Navigate to the page where you want the widget to appear.

  4. From the left panel, drag the Embed Code or Custom HTML element onto the page.

  5. Click inside the element and select Edit Custom HTML.

  6. Paste your WeTravel embed code.

  7. Click outside the element to save.

  8. Publish your site.

Option 2: Replace an Existing Button with a WeTravel Embed

If your page already has a “Book Now” or “Register” button:

  1. Edit the page.

  2. Delete or hide the existing button.

  3. Drag a Custom HTML element into the exact location.

  4. Paste your WeTravel embed code.

  5. Publish and preview.

Option 3: Use a Direct WeTravel Link (If HTML Is Restricted)

If your Weebly plan or theme restricts Custom HTML:

  1. Go to your WeTravel trip.

  2. Copy the Trip Booking Link (Promote → Direct Link).

  3. Edit your Weebly button.

  4. Set the button link to the WeTravel URL.

  5. Save and publish.

Note: This option redirects users to WeTravel, rather than opening the embedded checkout overlay.

Embedding WeTravel Widgets in Reusable Sections

If you want the widget to appear on multiple pages:

  1. Add the Custom HTML element with the embed code.

  2. Save the page.

  3. Duplicate the page or section.

  4. Update surrounding content as needed.

  5. Publish.

Advanced Notes for Weebly Users

Weebly does not support PHP templates or dynamic fields like WordPress. However, you can still:

  • Duplicate pages to simulate different trip layouts.

  • Use different embed codes per page.

  • Control visibility by page placement.

  • Use CSS (advanced users) to hide or show elements.

If you require dynamic behavior (such as automatically loading different trips), Weebly may require multiple pages or a custom-built solution.

Preview and Test Your Page

After embedding the widget:

  • Preview the page in the editor.

  • Publish and test on the live site.

  • Click Book Now to ensure the checkout overlay opens.

  • Test on desktop and mobile.

  • Disable third-party scripts if the widget does not load.

Troubleshooting

If the widget does not appear:

  • Confirm you used a Custom HTML element.

  • Make sure the full embed code was pasted.

  • Check that your Weebly plan allows Custom HTML.

  • Remove extra formatting around the code.

  • Test embedding the widget on a blank page.

  • Republish the site after changes.
